Week 4 Recap

The Mid-West has officially come into vogue as the division to watch as the Red rankings are handed out this week, who would have thought the Interceptors would be the caboose right now.

Week 4 Preview

Some big divisional matchups going down this week. #2 PHA greets #5 GOLD in Las Vegas. This is the Pharoahs first real test of the season. The Flex of the week features the top 2 Southern teams in ATL. The North gets a break by playing itself, building some internal wins.

(0-3) @ (2-1) #6

The last time these 2 met it was in 2009-2 with the last 10-0 shutout in history. Back when the Dragonfish were that team. The Reapers are now in that role and they would love to return the favor. Look for a solid game from Paolo as they try to get in the win column, but I think Jason and Reid will prove too much.
Prediction: REP
All Time: DF- 2 REP- 0

(0-3) @ (2-1) #8

The Diamonds have 4 power players! This game should be a rout. The Silverbacks would need Kenneth to come back with a stellar performance along with Sanchito. But Sebastian and Sean should be on point.
Prediction: DIA
All Time: SB- 12 DIA- 12

 (2-1) @ (2-1) #7

This should be a nice matchup. The Gremlins are ranked and rightly so, but the Interceptors haven't taken the step backward that people think they have. If Casey and Donte can finally have a good performance in the same game, they could take on the 4 power player Champions.
Prediction: GRE
All Time: INT- 10 GRE- 12

(1-2) @ (2-1) #3

A rematch of the 2010 Championship. Too bad only 3 players across both teams remember it. Maybe the Toros will be reinvigorated. I think it is time for the Scarlet Embers bubble to burst and the Toros to finally play normal.
Prediction: TOR
All Time: TOR- 4 SE- 3

(1-2) @ (1-2)

It is time for both of these teams to decide it they are going to be contenders this year. McFadden needs to step-up and take this one because Russell has resigned from team leader it appears. Aleksandr needs to remember week 1 and start playing like that again. But I think the Dizzy Devils have more talent and will.
Prediction: DD
All Time: DD- 11 EMP- 15

#5 (2-1) @ (3-0) #2

Time for all of us to see if Charlie and the Win Phactory is for real. The Gold have more talent and much more experience, but the historically, when the Pharoahs do well, they do it all the way. But, I think it is bubble bursting weekend and the Charlie phenomenon will be halted at least for now. He has had too easy of a season for a rookie.
Prediction: GOLD
All Time: GOLD- 15 PHA- 8

(0-3) @ (1-2)

The Seadogs need to take this oppurtunity to put together a set or maybe a win. They have as much of a chance this game than any. But Pasquel and the gang need to build up the momentum again that they had in the beginning of the season and it would be good to start here.
Prediction: MAR
All Time: SEA- 14 MAR- 8

The Skylarks are no secret anymore. Everyone knows they are scary efficient. Can the Cat's show they are still the class of the South? Will the Skylarks continue their perfect set season? Both teams will be dealing with mounds of pressure so it will really be 50% circumstance and 50% skill.
Prediction: SKY
All Time: CATS- 12 SKY- 13

Week 3 Recap

The North lost all of their games this week. Nobody is ranked or has a winning record. On the other hand, the Midwest is all knotted up at 2-1. The West isn't too bad either with a 3-0 team and two 2-1 teams.

#2 (2-1) @ (2-1) #7

The enitre Reapers organization needs to wirte Jack a thank you note. The 2nd set was all over with, the Scarlet Ember were up 4-3, and Jack had the ball. He threw a horrible one to Jason and he finished it off from there. Jack started off the next set with a bad throw and by then the Reapers gained momentum, easy 3rd set victory for the Reapers. Now the Midwest is all knotted up!

Another game, another lazy performance from the Silverbacks. Kenneth is not a presence on the team anymore, neither is Zeno. The team lack identity and cohesion. The Cat's, on the other hand, have it going on. Ausonio and Joseph combined for 8 points and took out the home team in 2 sets.

You have to hand it to the Margays going at it for 3 rounds in cold Chicago. They had the 1st set wrapped up, and then Casey came back from 4-0 to win it for the home team. The 2nd set was also tight as it went down to 5-4. Pasquel and Irwin had stellar sets and won this one. The final set was all Gremlins though as they had a team effort squash the Margays 5-1.

Martin?! Martin was the one to finally stand out for the Toros after they had assembled such a star studded team. Paolo offered the only resistance for the Dragonfish but it wasn't enough. Maybe the streak can finally be declared over. No Dragonfish in the playoff picture for the first time in 7 seasons. The Toros have a glimmer of hope but they are now only one power player strong in Rayquan.

The Diamonds were back to top form after their devastating loss last week. Sean the Diamond has a stellar performance along with the rest. The Dizzy Devils just kinda lazily let it happen, rookie McFadden was nowhere to be found and Russell has been mortal so far this season.

#4 (3-0) @ (1-2) #8
>10-5
Charlie in charge! This man is at the top of the points list after another stellar performance. Is he having the best rookie season so far? The Pharoahs have definitely found a gem this time. He took over the 1st set with 4 points against an unsuspecting Empire. The 2nd set was a team effort, everyone got a point on the Pharoahs, and Thompson scored 4 times for the Empire. Are the Pharoahs a legitimate 3-0?!

(0-3) @ (2-1)

Not much to say about this one. The Interceptors got out and executed quickly. They had 100% efficiency, while the young 'Dogs continued to struggle and find their way.

Good dodgeball was back in San Francisco, but it wasn't being served up by the home team. The Skylarks kept being the silent killers as they rolled to a quiet swift victory on one of the strongest teams in the league. The 1st set was quick and easy 5-1. the second set was alittle harder. The Skylarks got out to a 3-0 lead, but Desmond wasn't going to die without a fight, but the task was too much.
