Rings were handed out, a huge banner was hung behind the home side of the field to fireworks and all that. But it was time to get down to business immediately, as 2011 is long gone now and the Interceptors face a rough road to attempt a repeat. And it started with the team they swept to get their first title. The cat's started the first set strong but it was a catch by Salem (INT) that set the momentum towards the home team. The 2nd set was all Cat's with Jared getting a pivotal catch. The final set seemed all Cat's as the Interceptors big 3 was outed first. Ausonio could have wrapped it all up and ended the Interceptors streak of regular season wins, but he flubbed a throw and Kyle finished off Zach to get the Interceptors started in the right direction.

This game was oddly sloppy and the Reapers seemed to have just got caught sleeping. It was a 3 set affair but SE missed only 1 point in the 2nd to send it there. Jack (SE) had a stellar performance, but college teammate Jason (REP) had a great game too. SE just was more ready.
>10-5
Well, the Skylarks were firing on all cylinders. What seemed like a game the Gremlins could sneak a in out of seemed like pipe dream by the end of this. It was a whole team effort with Maurice (SKY) getting the mvp. Casey was the only bright spot on the home side with a seemingly game turning catch in the 1st set.

The head-scratcher of the week. The Pharoahs made light work of the Toros. Lyons and rookie Charlie were so on in a sign of changing times for the Pharoahs after their one year profit-ban is lifted because of their money fraud issues. PHA made TOR look like bumbling idiots intercepting Semere and Darren in the shutout 1st set. By the next set, the Toros were clearly flustered and Lyons finished the job off. Pharoahs ranked #1?!
The game may have been 3 sets long but it was all Gold. Desmond had a great debut with 10 count em, 10 points. Not much contribution elsewhere. The Silverbacks seemed lost, Kenneth missed 2 easy throws, Zeno was missing, Sanchito and Carter were despondent.
The Empire brought home the W from a foreign land with the swiftness. The Seadogs had a good run with the score 4 to 1 and Aleksandr the only one standing in the 2nd set, but he calmly tore off every single one of the Seadogs. That is seniority right there.
Pasquel!!! The man is headed places. A lazy back and forth game throughout the 1st 2 sets. But then arrives the 3rd set, the Margays are down 3-4 with Pasquel the last hope. Russell fired one to the rookie and he intercepted it! and proceeded to win the game. This is the first time since 2008-3 that the Margays have opened the season with a victory.
Flex Game of the Week 1
On paper this looks like it shouldn't have been a flex game. And the Dragonfish proved it really shouldn't have. The Diamonds were on, they are a cohesive unit where the Dragonfish did alittle too much shaking up in the offseason and now the team chemistry is ruined. 7 straight years of playoffs included Jacoby AND Aleksandr if you remember. But I digress, DF did get it together for a commanding 2nd set, but in the 3rd set DIA took out all power players first, and it was smooth sailing to a 7+ point victory.
